Recital & Summertime

Hello again!

A lot has been going on with us lately!  Everyone but me has been sick in our house, but finally feeling better!  First it was Camryn, with a high fever and fussiness.  Then Rich got sick. (High fever, sore throat) Then it was Marissa.  Sheesh!  Marissa just started feeling better today.  She had a high fever and sore throat. She was really sick there for a while with a temperature of 102.8 at the highest.  Ugh!  Poor baby had a bunch of tests... she got swabbed for strep and had to have blood work.  Thankfully everything came back okay and she's finally gotten over the worst of it. So hopefully we're all done with being sick for a while!!

We took Marissa and Dylan to the  drive-in a few weeks ago to see "Night At The Museum 2."  They loved it!!  They were both complete angels and their favorite thing was that at the snack bar you can butter your own popcorn, lol.

Camryn has been saying new words almost every day!  Right now she says : Mama, Dada, Me-Me, Peep, Pa-Pa, Na-Na, Ry-Ry, Ya-Ya (Marissa), Doh-Doh (Dylan), dog, bear, meow, quack-quack, duck, moo, baba, wa-wa, baby, up, more, on, bowl, cracker, hi, hi there, right there, Dora, Arney (barney), & Elmo.  I'm sure there's more but I can't think of anything else right at the moment.

Marissa had her dance recital on June 7th.  She did wonderful and we were so proud of her!  This year they did two dances, one for tap and one for ballet.  The tap number was to "Animal Crackers" and the ballet was to the song "Reflection" from the movie Mulan.  Marissa got a trophy again this year for perfect attendance.  After the recital we all went out to lunch.

Here's some of the recital photos:

Not too much else has been going on with us.  Marissa is going to be a flower girl in our friends Justin & Christina's wedding and that is coming up next weekend!  Marissa is very excited to be a flower girl!  I'll post pictures of her in her dress after the wedding.   Marissa loves weddings!   Last year we went to two of my cousins' weddings and she never left the dance floor all night, lol.

We are also very happy that summer in finally here!  We have already been swimming at my parent's house.  Marissa also finally let me put "floaties" on her arms and swim that way.  Usually she goes in by herself with her little innertube.  But she also likes her floaties now.  What a big girl!

Here's a couple photos of the girls swimming.  The pool was a little cold so Camryn played in her baby pool!

I took the kids to Chuck-E-Cheese a week or so ago and they had lots of fun.  Afterwards we went to visit Rich at work and then all went out to lunch.  Rich's school was having a carnival for the kids and Marissa went down the huge inflatable slide a couple of times.

Photos of the girls at Chuck-E-Cheese & Out to lunch:

Well, that's about all for now! We'll post more soon!  Tonight we're going to dinner for my dad's birthday.  Both the girls' grandpas birthdays are June 10th!  Happy birthday Pe-Pa and Pa-Pa!!

Love,
Kelly, Rich, Marissa & Camryn

End Of Preschool... Science Center... New Words....

Hi again!  Well, Marissa is officially done with preschool!  Her last day was yesterday (Wednesday, May 20th).  They had a  beach party for their last day.  She had lots of fun!  They wore their swimming suits and coverups and ate their lunch while sitting on beach towels at the "beach"!    I am sad to see preschool over.  It seems like just yesterday I took her to sign up and now the year is over.  My baby is going to kindergarten in the fall... and full day kindergarten at that!  She is ready for it... but I'm not!

Today Jamil and I took the girls to the Carnegie Science Center.  They had a blast!  It was a little crowded in the morning, since there was a lot of school groups there, but after lunch things thinned out ALOT.  Their favorite things were on the top floor which is just for little kids.  Marissa liked the ball area, where you wind balls up through pipes and they shoot out of the ends and also shower down onto you in the one part.  It's kind of hard to explain without seeing it, but it was a lot of fun!  They also had a big water play area with little fountains and plastic boats , balls and funnels that Camryn loved.  They had an area with huge foam blocks that both girls had fun building things with and knocking them over.  After the Science Center we stopped to see my brother Ryan's office, which was right down the road.  The girls love their Uncle Ry-Ry!

Camryn has been saying some new words.  She calls Marissa "Ya-ya" (not sure where she got that, but it's so cute!!)  and she has also been saying "On", "pour" (while pouring water, etc) and today she was saying "splash".

Tomorrow we're taking Marissa and Dylan to see  Night At The Museum 2 at the Drive-In.  Marissa hasn't ever been to a drive-in movie  and I haven't been to one since I was little and we went to see ET!!  So we're all excited about that.

We'll post more soon!  Hope everyone has a Happy Memorial Day!

Love,
Kelly, Rich, Marissa and Camryn

Preschool Graduation & Spring Program!

Hello again!

Well, last night was Marissa's Preschool Graduation & Spring Program.  It was wonderful!  I helped backstage getting the kids into their costumes, which worked out really well because you got a front row seat while the kids were performing!  The program was great.  They did a "Through The Year" segment, so they sang songs from all the different holidays.  They did a thanksgiving turkey song,  a christmas "Up On The Housetop" song,  "Many Little Snowmen"  song, a valentine  poem, "The Bunny Hokey Pokey" and then had their graduation.  For the finale they did a  USA theme and sang "We Love Our Flag" and waved their little flags around.  Marissa did wonderful and was singing the loudest!  I got tears in my eyes when she walked out to Pomp & Circumstance with her little graduation cap on... oh my!  Talk about sentimental!   After the graduation we went to eat at Applebees.  It was a great night!

Marissa has two more days of preschool next week and then she is done!  She goes Monday for regular class and then wednesday, on their last day, they are having a beach party!   Marissa is so excited for the beach party!  I can't believe the preschool year is over.  It seems like I just signed her up, and now it's done.  I can't believe my baby is going to kindergarten in the fall!!!!

Dance class is also almost over. She got her professional dance pictures taken last week and the final recital is on June 7th.  The first week of June we have a lot of practices and dress rehearsal.    Marissa got perfect attendance for dance class again this year, so she'll get a trophy also.

Marissa is going to be a flower girl in our friends Justin & Christina's wedding next month.  I just got her flower girl's dress a couple days ago and it's adorable.  She's going to be the cutest flower girl ever!

Not too much else is new with us.  Miss Camryn is doing great and getting so big and smart!  Here's a cute photo of Cam with her sunglasses on. She's such a little blondie!!!

Camryn loves Elmo and Barney, being outside and playing!  She loves to go on her swing, feed our bunny leaves and go down the slide all by herself.  She loves her little car that we push her around the neighborhood in.  She loves cars/trucks/ etc and yells "Beep beep!"  when she sees them.  Too funny! She's getting so big!

We'll be updating the  photo gallery later today.  Be sure to check back in for the photos from April and Easter.  There's also a couple new video clips of Marissa singing her "Mother's Day" songs.  Thanks for checking in with us and we'll post more soon!

Love,

Kelly, Rich, Marissa and Camryn

Marissa's Story

A couple months ago, Marissa spent the night at my mom & dad's and while she was there she wrote a little story.  She told my brother Ryan what to write down.  He helped her for some parts.  Here's her story they made:

                                                                     Marissa’s Sleepy Success

By: Marissa Taneri and Uncle Ry-Ry

On a frigid cold January night, Marissa was playing at Me-Maw’s house. She was sitting on Uncle Ryan’s lap, playing on his computer when she really should have been in bed already. She had already taken her bath and was ready for bed, but she decided to stay up real late at me-maw’s house. Marissa loved Uncle Ryan’s little globe that he had in his bedroom. Me-Maw finished her bath and thought it was time to put Camryn to bed. Marissa played along and brushed her teeth and peed on the potty like her usual nighttime routine, but she just wasn’t tired yet because of all the fun she was having with Uncle Ryan.

Marissa played and played and played and played and played and played, but she still wasn’t tired. So Me-Maw came in and said, “Camryn is in bed! Who’s next?” Marissa said, “Not me! I’m not tired yet.” So she continued to play and play and play and play and play some more. But then Me-Maw said, “It’s time for everyone to go to bed!” But while everyone was sleeping, Marissa got out of her bed and cooked bread and butter. The next morning while everyone was waking up, Marissa climbed back in bed and fell quickly to sleep. No one could figure out why she was so kept sleeping into late morning while they also wondered where the bread and butter on the kitchen table came from. Marissa was deep in a dream about jumping on her sister Camryn’s crib and chewing on her binky.

When Marissa finally awoke at noon, Me-Maw asked her, “Do you know where this bread come from?” Marissa rubbed her sleepy eye and said, “I must have been sleepwalking…or I guess, sleep cooking.” Everyone laughed and sat down to enjoy some nice, soft bread for lunch.

The End

Happy Mother's Day!

Hello!  Well, first of all, Happy Mothers Day tomorrow!  Hope all you Moms have a great day!  I am so blessed to have two wonderful daughters!

There's a couple new video clips up on the site of Marissa singing songs like her "Spring Turns To Summer" song that she made up and her singing "I Want Candy".  She makes these videos all by herself and then shows us after she's done.  They are hysterical!  Be sure to check them out!

Camryn has gotten another tooth, which brings the count up to 12!  Wow!  She just got her last first molar. She has all her baby teeth except the incisors.  Until of course it's time for the two year molars... and then teething begins again... fun!

Camryn is now 18 months old.  The time is really flying!  She has been saying a ton of words: mama, dada, wawa, baba, Ry-Ry, Me-Me, Nana, Papa, ball, duck, up, more, doggy, pop, hop, hi, hi there, right there, bear, bib, beep-beep, Dora etc.   She is getting so big!  She can drink from a big cup (with supervision!!  Because after she takes a drink she'll dump it out!!), and can feed herself with a spoon and fork.  Camryn usually takes one nap during the day and then sleeps all night.  She's such a good little girl!  When it's time for nap for bed, we say "are you ready for beddy?"  And she'll nod and come right over to you!  We usually rock her for a minute or just set her right in her crib and leave and she goes right to sleep.  What a little sweetie!

Here's a couple photos of the girls playing with sidewalk paint outside.  They had a blast painting and making handprints!

Marissa is almost done with preschool!  Her last day is May 20th.  They're going to be having a beach party the last day of school and she's so excited!  She's having a little preschool spring program and graduation on friday.  I can't wait to see her!  She has had a wonderful year of preschool.  They have had field trips to a local farm/pumpkin patch, to Brusters ice cream  and to the local police  department.  They had lots of parties at school and got a visit from the fire department.  She has learned so much this year and gotten ready for kindergarten!

Last night Marissa and I had a "slumber party" and slept in the living room in sleeping bags.  Marissa was so excited to stay up late, play games, eat popcorn  and watch movies.

For national dance week, Marissa's dance class danced at a local nursing home.  It was so cute.  The girls did both their dance numbers and did wonderful! Here's a couple pictures of the girls dancing at the Bentley House:

Marissa has her "big" recital on June 7th.  She's so excited about being up on the big stage!  She has had perfect attendance again this year at dance, so she'll also get a trophy at the recital.

Not too much else is new with us!  Just glad spring is finally here and that we can play outside and go to the playground, etc.  Hope everyone is well and we'll post again soon!

Love,
Kelly, Rich, Marissa and Camryn

Kids Fest

Hello again!  Well, we're finally having some gorgeous weather!  Its about time!   We've been taking advantage of the nice weather... we went to Buhl Park one day and to the playground in Hubbard yesterday and had a picnic and then the kids played.  Marissa and Camryn love to be outside, playing on their swingset and walking around.

Camryn's learning new words all the time now.  Lately her newest ones are Bear, Duck, Bib, water and I think she finally started trying to say Marissa's name... she was yelling "Ra Ra" at her the other day on the playground.  Marissa is kind of a hard name to say, so we kept saying "call 'Rissa... where's 'Rissa?"  and then she was saying Ra Ra.  How cute!

Yesterday Marissa had her Kids Fest at the mall.  Her dance class performed there and it was so cute!!  She did two numbers: the ballet one was to "Reflection" from the movie Mulan and the tap number was "Animal Crackers" from that one Shirley Temple movie. They have one costume, but it has an added tutu for the ballet number, which is nice, because we only had to buy ONE costume instead of two.  Here's a couple photos of Marissa at the Kids Fest program:

Ballet Number:

Their tap number:

The girls did great for their dance routines!  We were so proud of Marissa!  She looked so beautiful out there!

Here's a couple pictures of the girls at Buhl Park from earlier this week:

Marissa also had her "Daddy's Day" at school this weekend.  She was very excited for Daddy to go to school with her!  They had lots of fun!  They played games, made an art project, played with playdoh, sang songs, and had a snack. I still can't believe her preschool year is almost over!  They usually finish up a week earlier than regular school, so she will graduate from preschool in the end of May.  It seems like she just started!!  Sheesh!

Well, that's about it for us!  We'll post more soon!

Love,
Kelly, Rich, Marissa and Cam

April 2009

Hello again!  Well, it's been quite a while since we updated the blog and ALOT has been going on with us!

First of all,  Marshall Owen Seidler was born on April 9th.  He weighed 8lbs, 14 oz. Krissy had a c-section and her and baby Marshall are both doing well! He is absolutely beautiful and has tons of thick blonde hair! Marissa is over the moon for him, and loves to go see him and hold him.  So far Camryn doesn't seem too interested in him yet!  Welcome to the family Marshall!  We love you sweetie! Here's a photo of little Marshall:

Next up, we had a great Easter!   Both girls were so excited for the easter bunny to come!  Marissa left him carrots  and celery and he ate everything right up!  Marissa's basket was hidden in our hall closet and she found it right away because as she says "Easter grass was leading up to the closet door!"  Camryn's basket was hidden underneath the girl's little table in the kitchen.  They both got candy, snacks and books.  Camryn also got a little teapot and cups and a bird big toy.  Marissa got "tattoo barbie" and a stuffed pony.   They both looked gorgeous in their matching easter dresses!  We went to Rich's parents house for lunch, and then stopped over my cousin's house for dinner.  We had a busy day!  Here are a few easter photos:

The girls finding Camryn's basket:

Marissa with her basket and barbie doll:

Camryn with her basket and teapot:

Girls in their easter dresses:

Marissa also had an Easter party at preschool and I was the "helper mom" for the day.  It was a very cute party.  The kids had an easter egg hunt in the gym, passed out their treat bags, had a snack, played games, sang songs, made several crafts, dyed easter eggs  and had story time.  Sheesh!  Amazing they can fit that all in within three hours!  Here's a couple easter party photos:

The whole class by the bunny:

Marissa doing the "jellybean toss" :

Marissa with one of her art projects, an easter bunny with Marissa's footprints, so cute!!

We also decorated easter eggs the day before easter.  Marissa had lots of fun coloring eggs  and Camryn was excited to try to help and to see what we were doing!  Here's the girls coloring eggs:

Yesterday Rich and I took Marissa and Dylan to see Monsters Vs. Aliens in 3-D.   Marissa and Dylan had so much fun!  After the movie, we went to Chik-fil-A and the kids ate and played in the play area. Then Rich and I took the girls to Buhl park later in the afternoon.  It was such a wonderful day outside!!  They had fun walking around, playing on the swings and seeing the water fountains and lake.  Camryn pointing to the ducks and said "Dut!"  We were cracking up!  She has been saying A TON more words lately, it's amazing.  Right now she says : mama, dada, nana, papa, mimi, hi, hi there, right there, up, more, duck, pop, hop, bib, baba, Dora, and lots more that I can't think of right now.

This week Marissa's preschool had a "mom's day celebration".  It was very cute!  The kids sang songs and we had a little mother's day tea with drinks and cookies.  The kids gave us their drawings and flowers  they had planted.  They also made us glazed plates, where they drew a picture on the plate.  It was so cute!

We also weaned Camryn off her bottle, and she did wonderful!!  She went right to sleep the very first day we tried and didn't even fuss for her bottle at all.  She hasn't had her bottle for about a week now and she's done great.  What a big girl!

Well, we'll try to post more soon!  Marissa has her "Kids Fest" at the mall coming up this saturday, where her dance class is performing.  I'll be sure to post photos of that!  Hope everyone is well and had a greast easter!

Love,
Kelly, Rich, Marissa and Camryn

Spring Has Sprung!

Hello!  Well, hopefully Spring is finally here to stay!  We took the girls out for a ride in their wagon the other day and they loved it, especially Camryn!   They also played in their sandbox and on the swingset for a while.  They both love to be outside!  I can't wait til it's summer and they can be outside all day!

Rich got the video clips fixed... I don't know if anyone tried to watch them lately, but they kept saying "private".  Well, he got them working, so be sure to check them out.   My favorite is Marissa singing  A Spoonful Of Sugar from Mary Poppins. Super cute!!   Marissa LOVES to make "movies" and videos.   She cracks me up.  She talks in this like, professional voice or something, it's hysterical.  She always says "this is the Marissa show!" Ha!  She is too much!

I can't believe Easter will be here soon!   Time is sure flying by.  I have to take the girls to get their pictures with the Easter Bunny at the mall.  We've already been to Kraynak's a few times and they both love it.  Camryn loves to walk through it but she keep wanting to turn around and go back the other way to see Elmo again, haha.

Not too much else is new with us!  My sister will probably be having a scheduled C-section on April 9th, once she reaches 38 weeks!  We can't wait!

Here's a cute photo of Marissa going to dance class a couple weeks ago.  You gotta love those Hello Kitty rain books!  You can also see Marissa's bunny Lucky in the background.  She got him last year for Easter!

Well, that's about all for now!  Hope everyone is doing well!

Love,

Kelly, Rich, Marissa & Camryn

Hello!  Hope eveyrone is doing well!

Well, first of all, we updated the photo galleries, so be sure to check out the girls' photos from January and February, including their latest pictures from Olan Mills. Cute!!  There is also a new video clip of a photo slideshow set to music that Rich made.

Not too much else is new with us!  Camryn is has gotten a ton of new teeth that have finally broken through, including her upper molars, and a top and bottom lateral incisor.  She's finally getting lots of teeth!   I think she has nine altogether now.

Camryn has been doing lots of cute things lately... she says Hi to everyone we see out at resturants and stores, and waves hi and bye.  She tries to do the hand motions to Itsy Bitsy Spider.  If you say "where is Camryn?"  She'll put her hands over her eyes and then say "there!"  and peek out at you, haha!  She knows most of her body parts when you ask her "where's your teeth, hair, nose, belly, hand, foot, etc".  She feeds herself with a spoon.  She'll wipe her mouth with a napkin while eating... OMG, it's the cutest thing ever to see her do that!    If she sees me get my coat or shoes on, she runs to where her coat is, because she wants to make sure she's going too!

As for Miss Marissa, she's doing really great too!  We need to make her 5-year doctor's visit, but haven't gotten around to it yet.  She still loves her Tinkerbell dolls and has been loving to play games lately... I taught her how to play dominoes and checkers and she wants to play them all the time.  My mom got her a tinkerbell game collection for her birthday with all those different games. She does really good at checkers too!  She also likes to play Operation, Guess Who, Candyland, etc.

Marissa is going to be performing with her dance class in April for Kids Fest at the mall here in town.  Her dance class has two numbers for the recital this year... for ballet they are doing Reflection from the movie Mulan and for tap they are doing Animal Crackers In My Soup.  Hee hee... it's so cute!  She still LOVES dance class and LOVES preschool.  Nothing new there!

Well, we'll post more soon!

Lots of love--

Marissa's Birthday! Camryn's 15 Month Check up!

Hello all!  Lots has been going on with us this past week or so! I'll start with the Marissa news & stories:

First of all-- Marissa had her 5th birthday party a week ago!  She had a wonderful (and slightly chaotic!! )  party!  There were a lot of kids there (lets see.... Camryn, Dylan, Emma, Ella, Gabby, Olivia, Antonio, Verity and Oriana... whew!!) , so it got a bit crazy at times, but we all had a great time.  It was a tinkerbell theme and Marissa dressed up like Tink!  Marissa had a tinkerbell pinata and she got to be the one to pull the "secret" string that opened the pinata.  I kept telling her she might not get the right one, but she ended up getting it the second go around.  She was so excited! She said "See Mom... I TOLD you I was going to get the right string!!"    She got tons of wonderful gifts!  Thank you everyone!! You made Marissa's day very special! Here are some photos of the party and the birthday girl (plus Camryn with her pigtails... woo hoo, we have hair long enough to do something with!!! YAY!) :

Marissa also celebrated her birthday at preschool this wednesday (on her actual birthday). She got to be the helper all day and the "line leader"  and wear a birthday girl crown.   She brought in cookies and treat bags for the kids.  She had a great day!   I still can't believe she is 5 years old!!

The birthday girl with her crown!

Marissa also went to kindergarten sign-ups this week!   Don't get me started-- I'm still in major shock that my baby is going to be going to kindergarten!!  I took her in to the school for sign-ups and she did wonderful!  She went right with the teachers for the testing while I stayed and filled out the paperwork.  Then I met back up with her to go over the testing results.  She passed every part with flying colors... she didn't have a single area that needed worked on.  The teachers said she was adorable and that they loved her.  She was an angel the whole time, until it was time to go, and then she tried to hide from me in the library columns.  OH BROTHER!  She did NOT want to leave!  (She did the same thing at preschool sign ups last year!! She is too eager to go to school!!)

Also for Marissa, she had her preschool  Valentine's Day  party today and I was the helper so I got to stay all morning at school with her.  It was lots of fun and she was so proud to have me there with her!  We did a craft and played a few games, the kids had a snack and passed out all their treat bags and valentines.   I got to meet her "best friends" : Lexi, Jessica, & Emily.  How cute!! Here's a couple photos from the party today:

On to Miss Camryn!  Camryn is 15 months old this week and had her 15 month check up yesterday.  She weighs in at 21 lbs, 4 oz which is the 24th percentile. She is 29" tall, which is the 10th percentile.  Her little head is in the 6th percentile, which is up from last time, when it was only the 4th percentile!!  Sheesh!  Dr. Chlpka said she is doing WONDERFUL... she's growing great, she's just a petite little peanut!   She got three shots, poor little thing!

Camryn is also getting four, yep that's right, FOUR teeth at the moment!  Goodness!  You can see the top lateral incisors and the bottom right lateral incisor right under the gum, about to pop through.  And her top right first molar is broken through in one part. She's going to go from four teeth to eight almost over night!  Ouch!

Camryn has been doing some new milestones lately too!  She has been shaking her head "NO" for a long time but lately she's been nodding her head yes when you ask her a question.  It's so cute!  She also has been waving bye-bye  lately.  She knows lots of body parts and will point to her nose, teeth, etc when you ask her.  When she's in the tub, we have little travel-size empty bottles of shampoo that her and Marissa play with, and Camryn will pop the lids, pretend to put a dab on her finger and then rub it on her belly or hair... it's so cute!   She also plays with this little piano we have and will sing or babble into the microphone and then put the music on and dance.  She loves Elmo, Blue's Clues, Yo Gabba Gabba and Dora.  She started saying "Dora" too the other day.

Here's a pic of Cam I took tonight... she looks exactly like Rich in it!!

Here are the chicklets in their matching valentine's outfits:

Well, that's about it for us!  Happy Valentine's Day tomorrow everyone!

Love,
Kelly, Rich, Marissa & Camryn
